Why we built OTP Route

SMS verification sits on the critical path of almost every sign-up, login and payment flow, yet testing and operating it is still surprisingly manual. Teams pass a shared phone around the office, hard-code test numbers that stop working, or rely on consumer tools that were never meant to sit inside a CI pipeline or a production runbook.

OTP Route turns that work into an API. You ask for a number for a specific service and country, we route the request to available inventory, and the code comes back to you as a signed webhook or through a simple poll. When a dedicated line makes more sense, you can rent a United States or Canada number with inbound and outbound SMS and browser calling — managed through the same console and paid from the same wallet.

Our angle is deliberately narrow: infrastructure for engineers. That means clear endpoints, documented errors, HMAC-signed events, rate limits you can plan around, and billing rules that finance and engineering can both read.
